Very exciting work you guys are doing.
Consciousness is simply an interpretation of our brain based on the stimulus that stimulate our senses from a physical world in a real time. When our brain died there will be no more organ that will interpret the signal coming from our five senses. So if you can’t see, cant hear, cant feel, cant taste and cant smell hhhmm…
I’ve always thought that it could go any one of the ways these men are speaking about.
One interesting thought I’ve had is that if it is anything like a dream, then I could imagine there being what we would see as the last breath and the last heart beat. For the person actually passing there could be what he experiences to be something that isn’t bound by the confines of time. To say it slows down possibly, in those minutes. An eternity could exist in those last few sparks of brain activity. 🙂
