– Near-death experience science and the ever growing body of peer-reviewed research surrounding it.
– Parapsychology and science that defies our current understanding of consciousness.
– Consciousness research and the ever expanding scientific understanding of who we are.

Great interview Alex and Leslie, thanks!
For me, the evidence is pretty clear that our consciousness existed pre-birth and will continue on, uninterrupted, post-death. It’s also clear that, functionally, consciousness operates in discrete chunks, which are sometimes referred to as “souls.” All together our souls make up a kind of universal source consciousness but, functionally, we do indeed operate separately – like the cells in our body function individually, yet together they constitute our one body.
I think our task here is to learn how to cooperate with one another, consciously, like the cells of a healthy body cooperate with one another, physically. The mechanism by which we achieve this end is the development of our capacity to love one another, optimally – as all the great spiritual teachers have been telling us for centuries. Needless to say, this is no easy task; and must therefore entail a multi-lifetime undertaking in order for it to succeed. A “soul” simply does not have sufficient time to develop in one or even a hundred lifetimes. So this is a long term proposition we’re talking about, and meditation with a clear intent to “grow the quality of our consciousness” is how we refine ourselves from within.
In Vedic texts and modern literature dedicated to Indian traditions, Māyā connotes a world that is akin to “a magic show, an illusion where things appear to be present but are not what they seem”. And now, perhaps science will provide us with evidence that this concept may be true, as demonstrated in Brian Whitworth’s papers on Virtual Reality Theory – the modern day, scientific equivalent of the ancient concept of Maya. And since a VR cannot “compute” itself, it points to the idea that perhaps this material universe is a subset of a larger reality, which may be comprised of pure consciousness. Cheers.

Ordered the book. Thanks!
She looks like Carol from the Walking Dead.
I pray the book will aware the attention of many and finally we all will shift a bit into the right way and accept the spiritual world as a simple reality
Sad, this woman lives in a world of FANTASY folks! This book is like her first book on UFOs, it is full of OTHERS’ writings on the subject. This nice looking lady concerns herself with topics that can NEVER be proven, UFOs & the OTHER SIDE! Leslie, you can do BETTER!
