whats interesting is that the chart at 48:27 correlates directly with alcohol consumption in those countries. of the 3 countries listed the irish drink the most, followed by the english, then the dutch. for centuries its been believed that alcohol shuts off our chakras and dampens any sense of spirituality. could be a coincidence but maybe not.

“Toward a Science for Death Related Phenomenon and Consciousness” (Stockholm). Some great stories in here!
Dr Peter Fenwick is always so clear and speaks with compassion. Another of his highly inspiring talks. Wonderful work he has been doing for so long. He will be leaving a fabulous legacy, but I hope he stays with us for many years yet!
When I had my neck surgery in 2011, I was in recovery and I came awake and in the room was a fog all around me, I asked the nurse if she could see it but she said no…then for 3 hrs my heart rate was at 41 and I was in a Meadow, with green grass and flowers everywhere….There was a half ring of pine trees and in the half ring was a rock with a man sitting on it with one foot up and his elbow on the knee and hand on holding his chin….When I came too I mentioned that it felt like I was a different person inside…like the horrible things of the past had been left behind somewhere…The symbolism present in the meadow was amazing…a meadow with Spring present to me meant New Birth or a New Chance…the Rock represents my foundation the man on the Rock represents that part of me that is a deep thinker and the pine tree holds the pine cone which is the Pineal gland of the brain which by thinking for myself in a new way would open the Spirit to a higher understanding of Life and Death…I am no longer afraid of Death and what it holds for me…..:)
When I was a child my foster father was at home to die..we were expected to daily go into his room to talk with him, I was the only one that could not do this because I could feel death close to him….I was 12 at the time but I had already told my foster mother her grandson would die a year earlier, 3 months in advance and has seen the accident that killed my mother from the school bus window and didn’t do well with the viewing at the funeral home….I still can feel death coming for people…People just call me strange but don’t bother to actually get to know me
I have to somewhat disagree with this thing about terminal lucidity. I have been present at the deaths of many of my relatives. All of them had sunk into comas and had that half-opened-eyes “dead stare” right before passing away that you can see in lots of videos here on YouTube, particularly one called “A farewell event to a dying wife for husband and family”. This is how I’ve seen all people die and there is no lucidity at all.
interesting but not even remotely scientific
this Fenwick guy is awesome.
I don’t want to sound like a downer here, because I want to believe, but the AWARE study so far has not provided any acknowledgement of a “marker” hanging in an emergency room. That said, I don’t know if someone would be looking for that if their consciousness left their body. Personally, I say keep studying for the next 50 years or so. If consciousness is separate from the body, then we really should know about it and there is anecdotal evidence that it might be. It’s easy to dismiss anecdotal evidence and look for a psychological explanation, but I don’t know that it gives credit to people.
Good stuff ! ! !
He’s a Rock Star!! Only joking but i have so much respect for him. He’s just great!!

my father tell me the same experience.
when his beloved teacher died, my father sitting 200 miles away from him got tears in his eyes while he was watching television.
He tells me that he felt something very sad has happened. as if someone gave him the final goodbye
This is what we all need to hear. the fact is NDE are very real I for one know this to be true
Before my auntie died she saw regularly people coming into her room. Some of them would just pass through, some would sit down and wait at the table. Later on my aunt’s mum, who was deceased, would come and stand at the foot of my aunt’s bed. My aunt would call her to come closer, but her mum would always reply:” not now, I’ll come closer soon”
This was happening for several weeks before my aunts death.
Thank you for this programme, it’s most interesting.
i think every scientist and skeptic can agree that the materialist theory of consciousness no longer counts. there is definitely something else going on here that we will never ever understand. one case that springs to mind is the case of a man who lost 80% of his brain matter and was still fully functional including lucid consciousness so the theory that the entire brain works together to form consciousness is 100% false. we know the brain is “plastic” therefore the man who lost most of his brain, his consciousness could’ve moved to the section that remained. Who knows. But materialism is a dying concept, thankfully.
What “Death” scientists really study are hallucinations people have with high nitrous oxide concentrations. There is nothing to report after death. People are very much alive when they have these experiences.
Hey viewers at 25:40 isn’t that sort of what Einstein was saying spooky action at a distance.
This man is amazing. All the people that research death are.
Very clear and revealing for those who sork with patients! Thanks.
What most I get from persons such as Dr. Fenwick and so many others (e.g. Greyson, Sheldrake, Pim van Lommel, Ring, Moody, etc., and those that make available to the public their works) who take on the study of dying is not only a lesser fear of death but more importantly how to best live life. For, for me anyway and I’m sure so many others, their works contribute to life’s greater meaningfulness and spirituality. I know I am a better person in so many ways as a result of these persons findings.
