1. Michael Shermer – Brain, Mind, and Consciousness – Skeptics Society 2005
This is from the 2005 Skeptics Conference where leading scientists discuss issues that strike at the very heart of the matter, our brains. Topics range from morality to evolution to consciousness to life after death. It’s an absolutely amazing collection of lectures.
As with all of my videos thus far, I do not actually hold the copyright for this material. I am only uploading it here to give it the audience it deserves. If I should be asked to remove it, I will.
However, you should do yourself a favor, and do the entire skeptics community a favor and purchase this from the source: http://shop.skeptic.com/merchant.mvc?Store_Code=SS&Screen=PROD&Product_Code=av560DVD
Or at the very least, donate: http://www.skeptic.com/donate/
I hope you enjoy.

Excellent, many thanks for the upload 🙂
the video music sucks. no interference please. just data.
dude he’s not even a psychologist, he’s a historian.
He is trained in psychology but his career is mainly in history of science
When did he use derogatory terms about experts in neurscience etc?
What an idiot. The documentary he is referring to is about the nature of reality from the prospective of quantum physics and Easter philosophy, knowledge validated by quantum physics. Those implicated in the documentary are not just “film makers.” They are scientists with serious credentials, something Shermer is totally lacking in. He is a Christian-fundamentalist with a degree in the history of science. He is one of the most ignorant man you will ever listen lecturing to you.
Shermer is an impostor pushed in front by people who have an interest in keeping man ignorant of the true nature of reality and of the true history of life on planet earth. He claims to be speaking for truth through science but he is actually playing for the other team, the guys who gave us religion.
